Kate Freestone Photography

I developed a love for photography and at 19yrs old decided to make the move from Darwin to Sydney to complete a BA of Visual Communication (Photography & Imaging) at WSU. I have been fortunate in my career to be the official photographer for 2 universities Western Sydney University and Charles Darwin University, the Features Photographer for the Territory’s humorous NT News and now solely my own business.

I love capturing human connection and the way people feel about each other. Everybody has a story!

I often get asked what my favourite type of photography is and it’s as simple as, anything involving people. Both my parents come from a welfare background and have an amazing ability to connect and listen. They have been such a great example to me and have encouraged my love and interest in people. I love capturing human connection and the way people feel about each other. Everybody has a story, so if I ask too many questions, it’s so I can get to know you a little in a short time and capture you as accurately as possible.
